AMBER HEARD has revealed that she and her husband Johnny Depp don't plan on returning to Australia any time soon, following the controversy that erupted when they brought their pet dogs (Pistol and Boo) into the country on their private jet, breaking the country's strict quarantine laws.

"I have a feeling that we're going to avoid the land Down Under from now on, just as much as we can, thanks to certain politicians there," Heard toldSunrise (reports US),referring to Australia's agriculture minister Barnaby Joyce, who threatened to have the animals "euthanised" unless they were removed from the country immediately*.*"I don't know," Heard continued."I guess everyone tries to go for their 15 minutes, including some government officials."

Joyce explained his ultimatum at the time, telling reporters:"There is a process, you get the permits, they go into quarantine, then you can have them.If we start letting movie stars, even though they've been the sexiest man alive twice, to come into our nation, why don't we just break the laws for everybody?"Australia's immigration minister, Peter Dutton, further explained:"All animals being brought into Australia must have an import permit, must meet Australia's strict, science-based import conditions and must be declared on a cargo manifest."

Sunrise host Samantha Armytage seemed to take the side of her countrymen following the interview with Heard, saying of the star's comments:"That's a bit disappointing.She should be more respectful of our quarantine laws."
